My current research areas include (1) mobile learning (2) social and affective uses of computers and (3) the evaluation and educational uses of ICT.

Until recently I was co-convenor of the Computers and Learning Research Group (CALRG) at the Open University and am a member of the management team and research student management team in CREET and in postgraduate teaching and training.
