My job is Senior Lecturer in New Technology in Teaching in the Institute of Educational Technology at the UK's Open University.

I'm a member of IET's Technology Enhanced Learning group. My research interests are in online learning as social practice: literacy in the digital university, virtual learning communities, cultural Issues in e-learning. I also act as advisor on module design and evaluation to the OU Faculty of Health and Social Care.

BEd Hons (Educational Drama)

Teaching Interests

Advising the OU's Faculty of Health and Social Care on the design of modules and the interpretation of student feedback and learning systems usage data.

Research Interests

Literacy in the Digital University - social and cultural approaches to the study of multimodal textual practices in Higher Education.
