Senior Hub Manager

About

I work at the intersection of research capability, strategy and programme delivery, with a focus on how institutions can better support researchers in complex and often fragmented environments. As Senior Hub Manager for the ESRC-funded Research Capability Hub at the Open University, I lead the coordination and delivery of a multi-partner programme designed to strengthen research capability in the social sciences, particularly in institutions that have traditionally had limited access to research infrastructure and networks.

My background is in education research, and I hold a PhD in film literacy and learner engagement. During my academic career, I designed and delivered teaching in film and media, supervised student research projects, and conducted research using both qualitative and quantitative methods. While I am no longer an active researcher, this experience continues to inform my work, particularly in shaping programmes that support researchers in developing skills, networks and confidence.

Alongside my programme role, I contribute to mentoring and professional development within higher education and am currently completing an MBA, focusing on organisational change, leadership and strategy.
