The Open Education Research Hub.

The Open Education Research Hub (OER Hub) is a research team based in IET, specialising in the area of open education. They are the leading international research unit in the area of the impact of open educational resources (OER) on teaching and learning practices. Their aim is to raise the quality and profile of research in this field, and to bring together a range of projects in the area of open educational practice. The OER Hub has three key objectives:

  • Building capacity in the OER research domain
  • Conducting research into open education and OER
  • Producing resources for the open education research community

At the core of OER Hub is a team of researchers who work across a diverse range of externally funded research projects. The team have recognised expertise in open practice, including ethics of open research, developing an online research identity, releasing open data and open research methods.
