After studying my Ba in politics and MSc in social and political theory I trained to teach in the post compulsory education and training sector and entered secondary education. As a teacher of sociology and politics I then progressed to becoming head of multiple departments and entered the field of teacher training and professional development. In this I had the role of professional coach and rolled out many whole school and region wide training programmes and went on to become a professional tutor leading initial teacher training, newly qualified teacher induction and professional development courses across all levels including National Professional Qualifications in Middle and Senior Leadership with UCL's Institute of Education. I am currently a Senior Manager in Enhancing Learning and Teaching in IET's Quality Enhancement and Innovation space and my team support a wide range of projects in this area.
