Learning and Teaching Enhancement Manager

About

I work within the Institute of Educational Technology Quality Enhancement and Innovation team as a Teaching and Learning Enhancement Manager. I am enthusiastic and passionate about creating excellence in the delivery of teaching and learning and academic quality.

I have an excellent understanding of the entire Education sector but more specifically Higher Education and University Education. I have worked in Higher Education for over 6 years and Education in some compacity for over 10 years, therefore have extensive experience and excellent knowledge of issues faced and changing landscape within the sector.

Fundamentally I believe education is a right and not a privilege. I am passionate about universal design for learning and developing curriculum that allows a learner to demonstrate their skills and understanding as best suites them. Being innovative and creative in course design and assessment is something I am also passionate about.

I am currently working on a number of projects the university including: emerging opportunities for digital badges in teacher professional development in India, student voice and young students.

I am currently studying an MA in Education Practice (final research project to finish only) in my spare time. I am passionate about my own personal and professional development, with my passion for education, this felt like the next natural progression. I currently have a PGCHE and hold an associate membership for Advance HE, previously the Higher Education Academy (HEA). I have an Undergraduate degree in Sport Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention a PGDip in Strength and Conditioning.
