A global network for PhD candidates with a focus on open education
Overview
The Global OER Graduate Network (GO-GN) is a network of PhD candidates around the world whose research projects include a focus on open education (i.e. OER, OEP, MOOC). These doctoral researchers are at the core of the network; around them, over two hundred experts, supervisors, mentors and interested parties connect to form a community of practice.
The aims of the GO-GN are:
- to raise the profile of research into open education,
- to offer support for those conducting PhD research in this area, and
- to develop openness as a process of research.
The role of IET
IET runs the project and network with a team of central researchers. We (usually) organise an annual 2 day seminar for approx. 15 researchers to coincide with the OEGlobal conference.
We also run monthly webinars, produce reports and resources, and support the members.
