A Global network for PhD candidates with a a focus on open eduction

Overview

The Global Open Graduate Network was established in 2012. Now in its fifth phase of operation, the network has grown to 600+ people across 30+ countries and includes many prominent researchers worldwide. The network hold face-to-face and online events; offers support for doctoral students to attend conferences and share their work; co-creates openly-licenced resources for researchers; and amplifies the reach of researchers working in the Global South.

The role of IET

As a centre of excellence for open education research, IET was selected to run GO-GN by its founder, the late Prof. Fred Mulder of the Open University of the Netherlands. The Open Education Research Hub team build on their experience as global leaders in open research to develop ethical and effective practices among the next generation of upcoming research leaders.
