We have provided a list of frequently asked questions to try and troubleshoot any queries you may have. If you can't find the answer you are looking for please contact us.

Are these sessions open to Affiliated Research Centre Supervisors (ARC’s)?

All research supervisor sessions are open to ARC supervisors, with all sessions available online.

Where can I find the slides and resources from a training event?

We have created a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) page where we upload all resources, video recordings and documents from our training events. You can access the page here.

Can I attend a session online?

Yes – all sessions are currently being delivered online and where possible we will offer face-to-face sessions.

Can I receive recognition for attending a training event?

We do not offer any formal recognition or certificate of attendance for our training events. We do record attendance (both online and face to face) for our records. You can record your attendance of any RCD session in your work planning system or documentation that will contribute towards your CDSA.

Why can’t Associate Lecturers’ and students attend RCD training and events?

The training sessions and events run by the RCD team are primarily for central, regional and national research staff. We do not run sessions for AL’s as these are covered by Associate Lecturers Support and Professional Development on the Academic Services (ALSPD) on the Academic Services Intranet. Please contact ALSPD for details of their upcoming training and events for AL’s.
